Modual
In 2009 Olle Thulin and Mikael Sjöberg formed Modual to showcase their passion for electronic music, despite their different musical backgrounds.
Olle Thulin started producing techno, house and trance in mid 90?s, always with the dancefloor at the center of attention. Mikael Sjöberg started playing guitar at the ripe age of 7 and has been a singer and song writer ever since. He also has sung in a handful of raggae and pop bands throughout the years. Together Olle and Mikael found a way to combine these different styles to create a very unique style of drum & bass/dubstep with an influence of pop.
This project spawned from Olle's need for a singer while studying audio engineering in Stockholm, Sweden. As a coincidence, Mikael lived next door to the school and was looking for someone to help him with prodution. Coming from the same midsized town, they knew each other and started experimenting with some ideas they had. Writing music together came naturally and after a couple of projects they developed a more unified sound that later came to be Modual. A sound that is appealing to the dance floors as well as the home listeners.
